Step By Step Guide on Nutrition Coaching with Monica Salafia RD!


Did you just sign up for nutrition coaching with me or are you interested in doing so? Whoo hoo! This is going to be great! Read this blog post to get started.

Step 1- Reach out!

I am most responsive on the 'gram and on my email and check it daily. Sometimes emails do pile up so please give me 24-72 hours to respond and I'll get back to you.

In the email just say "hey, I want to get started with nutrition coaching" and I'll send you some questions and information on my nutrition coaching system.

Step 2- Commit!

Make the commitment to monthly nutrition coaching. My most successful clients purchase 6-12 months of coaching and pay in 3 month intervals. But maybe you just want 1 month to start. That's cool! I definitely do not recommend a 1 time consult as this gets us no where and progress takes time. I want to be there to support you throughout the process.

What does 1 month of coaching entail? Well, we meet in-person if you are in Denver for the initial consult or we can meet virtually. Most of my clients and I meet virtually since this makes it the most convenient for you.

Then we have 3 check ins, 1 every week.

The easiest way to do this is to have an Initial consult (60 minutes) on a certain day of the week and then schedule our check ins for every week on that same day. We can always change if needed but it's best to get set up as soon as possible.

Step 3- Pay the Invoice

I will invoice you after we get that official -yes I am committing! You will know the cost of 1 month of nutrition coaching after the commitment if you sign up for just 1 month. If you sign up for 3 months the invoice will reflect 3 months of coaching as is due before our initial consultation :)

Step 4- Fill Out Intake Forms & Download Healthie App

I send you via email an initial client questionnaire and a copy of your check in form.

The initial client questionnaire gives you the opportunity to write down all of your thoughts and lets me know where you are coming from. We talk about what you have written (and more) during your initial consult.

This document also serves as the launchpad of your nutrition coaching program, SMART goals and action plans.

Download the Healthie app by going to the App Store and searching for 'Healthie' it is white with a multi-colored apple. If you run into trouble , email me as soon as possible!

Step 5- Show Up!

At this point we have either scheduled an initial consult in-person or virtually. Since it is more common to do it virtually I will explain that.

Healthie Telehealth. Healthie is our portal. You can access this through your desktop and download the app on your phone (you will want to do this for sure!)

Download the Healthie app as soon as possible and play around with it so you are familiar with some of the features. You will want to know how to set up the Telehealth function. Ask me questions during our initial consultation about the apps features!

Step 6- LET'S DO THIS!

At this point you have made the commitment, downloaded the Healthie app, scheduled the initial consult and 3 check ins and are on route to your health & wellness goals. Pat yourself on the back for making this lifestyle change!
